A sad story happened to me recently. Last year, I bought a MacBook 12-inch model from 2015. It's a tiny machine (900 grams) that's only good for messaging and browsing. Perfect for my short trips— lighter than a tablet but with a full operating system. I recently tried to turn on the MacBook, and it showed zero charge. No big deal, I thought, just needs a charge. Plugged it in, and by lunchtime, it was only at 30% with the system saying the battery wasn’t charging.

Seems like your MacBook's battery might need replacement. Despite its compact size, the 12-inch model from 2015 is known for battery issues over time. Consider taking it to an authorized service center for diagnostics and repair.
