Pretty disappointed that I let myself get to this point tbh, I was in a great rhythm for a while and just completely fell off One of my biggest mistakes was convincing myself that it’s fine because the number on the scale wasn’t changing much when in reality I was slowly losing muscle for fat And then I was traveling a bit and kept saying “I’ll get back in the gym after this trip” over and over again but there was always some excuse for why my schedule that week wasn’t “regular” enough to restart Posting this for accountability and to share how I’m feeling in this moment. I’m done thinking of fitness as a “streak” that can easily be broken, it’s a lifestyle and a mindset and it’s time that I embrace that for the long run.

imhe what took me out of that spiral was having a coach that i had to be accountable for. suddenly missing a training session was not possible, because this mfer was waiting for me to send him my results for that day integrate the disappointment. feel it all, and recognize when else in your life you have felt like this. and let it all burn with the awareness of it being there cc @satzo7

it is a lifestyle and mindset ofc but also you can make it easier on yourself. been using an app called ladder since ~september for workouts and it takes away the mental overhead of planning workouts which actually makes it easier to get to the gym last thing you wanna do after a full shift in the trenches is construct a workout

I went through similar cycles after traveling for a bit. What really helped me was scheduling a monthly dexa scan at Bodyspec. Super easy way to track progress that goes beyond the scale: https://www.bodyspec.com

My recent experience with exercize is super simple: - register for a race - start training because you have no choice - start realizing how good it is!

+1 mindset. Subtle shift in the head talk, instead of "I'm eating healthy today," its "this is just what I eat now," same with exercise, etc. is how you do it! You got this.
