Good news: selling restaurant reservations in NY will soon be illegal Curious how this will impact availability as well as all the platforms that currently cater to this from various angles https://ny.eater.com/2024/6/7/24173621/restaurant-reservation-anti-piracy-act-bill-passes-new-york

Every scarce resource has a market in NYC. Curious to see how this plays out.

Do you think people pay for reservations because the food is that good and they canโ€™t find another restaurant to eat at, or is it because these places are the current hype and people want to be seen there?

Did StubHub end up making concert tickets cheaper once scalping became โ€œlegalโ€? Dorsia app is run by Major Food Groups, can legally buy reservations for their restaurants and more. All this is just another step in the Financialization of everything for better or worse.
