A lot of the discourse around channels leads me to believe that many people don’t understand how the protocol works

To clarify what I mean here: I'm seeing a lot of folks conflating the protocol (Farcaster) — which is *unfiltered* and *uncensorable* — with clients (Warpcast, Supercast, Nook, et al), which can choose to filter the content shown in their apps

Farcaster channels have no "main feed", that's all at the client level

People complaining about the recent channel feed being a bunch of junk, that's just how the protocol works, try a different client if you prefer another way of filtering, it's not possible to "hide" or "delete" someone else's casts at the protocol level

what is the biggest misconception youre seeing?

It's not required but people need to understand that Farcaster is a decentralized and uncensorable protocol, content quality is a client-level (or infra provider) issue

Users expect weird things. It's the builders job to identify the product or feature opportunity.
