I think a lot of devs overestimate how much people want to use chat interfaces for everything, even if it’s now possible (or at least easier) thanks to LLMs Intentional interfaces matter

The way I see it (and how I’m building it) is that the chat interface is better for insightful discussion. “How should I play this chart?” It answers and it will be nice to have an execution engine underneath that can take actions and learn from said actions. “please send x to y,” is a novelty imo.

Do you think that insight has implications for FC and thoughts on how much of a priority it is to be accessible when the current cohort of active users are comfortable w text?

Chat is the lowest common denominator for a product interface that everyone knows how to use

I’ve been struggling with this. I kind of agree But also the most eye opening thing for me when it comes to AI stuff is how willing people are using chat inferences for everything. But maybe it’s just loud minority.

definitely, it’s a bubble hate those interfaces and would rather press a couple of buttons even if we talk about bankr, I’d rather paste that CA into matcha vs tag the bot and send it to it
