I'm generally p excited about Beam Chain. The only critique I've read that resonated is that ETH is becoming more like BTC circa-2018 in terms of protocol upgrades. Slow, methodical, like steering an ice breaker.

I think this benefits BTC immensely due to value prop in the market. Less convinced that it's aligned with what the market wants from ETH.

That said, everyone who is saying "ETH should be like X competitor" has it wrong as well.

Best way to lose is to start running a competitor's playbook.

A good retort to this concern is ETH has always been deliberate and methodical. The ETH2.0 was announced in 2017, executed in 2022. 

Another 5 year timeline shouldn't surprise anyone.
