Listened to a podcast talking about how people have basically always had dyslexia but it only really became apparent once inventions like the printing press made reading more widespread. Makes me wonder what potential disabilities exist now but will only display in the future with new technologies

Anything with a large generalized spectrum (i.e. ASD) seems ripe for more specialized diagnosis. Especially since having a son, it's really apparent just how rough our categorizations are. And as the categories become more specialized, we'll probably gain insight into mechanisms and further detail into the condition.
