hahah probably played a bunch of weird mini games on TON. Pretty dope user experience actually - it's a very different way to onboard vs what we've been used to the last 5 yrs (in a good way)

agree on the above - especially about group access / new way of monetizing if you have an audience. lines are blurring a bit as we start to see massive NFT collections in the hundreds of thousands (eg cNFTs, huge OE mints, 404s etc)

NFTs can change the way we consume content because it is just programmable media at the end of the day. May be hard to see today because they are images that can be traded. But don't let that trick you into thinking that's the limit of possibilities.

I used to think that Bitcoin would only be the decentralized money use case. But now I think it could be the biggest on chain ecosystem over the long run (in terms of value). ordinals / runes are signals to me of what's to come. as always - fade bitcoin at your peril

1/ I think speed and intuition are the two most important things in building crypto products. Lots of teams are afraid to get something in the market before its ready. Or make bets that are too far out in the future -- where the market is not ready. These judgements are super hard but really important 2/ Keep a level head despite what is happening all around you - this is especially important as it relates to the team and keeping everyone focused 3/ Have long term conviction -- it is hard to do because there are opportunities everywhere and always a new thing to chase. But to do something well takes a lot of work so don't spread too thin

There are so many that didn't work - like too many. But here's a couple: - we tried to localize the product into turkish in like week 3 haha to experiment if that would be a good wedge to get users. This was obviously not a good idea and we found out pretty quick -- but good news is we built it quick and then canned it quick - we built a drop calendar -- it was fine but i wouldn't say it was a hit. it goes to show that you should focus on the core and make sure you do that super well - as there is an infinite roadmap when you start to increase surface What exceeded - launchpad. this was an experiment like localization where we said let's do 5 manually and see how it goes. but after a couple we realized that it was not only solving the creator's problem (how to mint and distribution) but also users (safe place to mint, top creators etc). Since then we've launched nearly 1000 creators probably at this point and it's been a huge part of ME.

Bullish of course As a macro narrative i think it has obviously been relatively more quiet -- but people may be surprised to hear that ME is having it's best year ever on all metrics (even better than the last bull market). So there is definitely a good amount of activity and experimentation going on -- we see it first hand on all the different chains because we are on sol, eth, base, polygon, btc. There is something different to try in each of these ecosystems eg cNFTs on SOL, OEs on Base, Runes / ordinals on BTC etc. Each is its own playground - and ME is like the gateway to it all, as it no doubt continues to expand. Would love to see more creators experimenting with it (big goal of ours) and lower barriers to entry (eg if the only way to experience it is to buy a super expensive ape, that's gonna be pretty hard to bring in a tonne of people)

Macro level - we felt NFTs and on chain assets in general could be huge and way bigger than many people think -- i still believe that today (both that it'll be insanely big and that people are still underestimating it) As for the origin story -- Me and the guys were personally being on chain degens -- mostly initially on ETH but then eventually on Solana. I still remember aping into Yam Finance which felt like the trigger for DeFi summer and then it didn't really stop. Then jack and i started pooling capital to do this stuff and we started to realize that on chain assets would develop on numerous ecosystems so we decided to make a bet that Solana would be a natural home for that given the properties of the chain. But there was this crazy dissonance because the experience on solana was amazing, yet the NFT marketplaces were really bad. We assembled the crew Rex, Sid, Jack and I - and put together an MVP in about 3 weeks and shipped it. People seemed to like it in our discord and we just kept going ..
