what are your biggest complaints about podcasts today? for me: 1. discovering new, high-quality episodes is tough (would love to increase signal to noise ratio) 2. connecting with likeminded listeners is sporadic (would love listener communities) 3. parasocial relationships with hosts feel flat (would love this to be bi-directional)

I am with you, I think the community building aspect of it can use some work. Preferably one where the creator is in control of their audience but I am sure hosts will want to control that more to make themselves more sticky.

this might just be me but when I’m interested in someone I’ll search through spotify and listen to all of their pod interviews. lots of pods don’t think about the “second” interview - i.e. a lot of time spent is rehashing the same q’s + backstory that other pods have covered vs finding a new angle in.
