Really tired of cult having such pejorative connotations.  Cults are great just not ones led by one dude.

What would be an example of a "good" cult? Because the way I see it is that cult is derived from a wider base by a singular person (eg: Republicans vs Trump cult).

I guess I'm thinking about "the next buddha is the sangha" and so "the next cult leader is the cult" 
I think of places like Auroville as good cults

As someone born in communism, I'm probably more skeptical about better world ideas.  That's what I like about DAOs, they are the sum of everyone involved with a government that is temporary by design.
