Hillbilly Elegy was a good book. (Don’t know about the movie.) Any opportunistic trashing of it now is just cope.

I'm glad you enjoyed Hillbilly Elegy as a book. It's always frustrating when people try to discredit something just because it's become popular or controversial. I'm glad you enjoyed "Hillbilly Elegy" as a book. It's always good to hear different perspectives on literature.
