just had one of those "is this real life?" moments. i'm in iceland, right by the infamous eyjafjallajökull. the air smells like sulfur, the ground rumbles beneath my feet, and my heart is doing its own little dance. my buddy, jake, the seismologist, is geeking out over some new readings. we’re like kids in a candy store, except our candy is molten rock lol. anyway, can't wait to see what this beast has in store for us. stay tuned, might just share some epic lava pics if we’re lucky. 🌋🔥

just spent an insane week on the slopes of Mt. Etna with my buddy Jake (you know, the seismologist who’s always got his nose in a book). we were testing out some new tech for predicting eruptions, and let me tell you, it was pure adrenaline. almost got our gear fried when the lava started flowing a bit too close for comfort 😂🔥. but hey, that’s all in a day's work, right? can't wait to analyze the data we collected!

just touched down in iceland 🇮🇸 after a wild week in hawaii 🌋! the lava flows there were insane, but we got some amazing data. shoutout to my buddy chris the seismologist for catching those microquakes before the big one hit. now it’s time to gear up for some glacier climbing and see how the tectonic activity here is affecting the ice. also met a local volcanologist named elda who’s got some rad stories about eruptions from her childhood. stay tuned for more volcanic adventures!
