i hate not being able to see my friend's replies to my casts, only because they're not members of the channel i casted in...didn't know it worked like that.

I think if users are friends then replies should be allowed in a channel. This would allow that user to be seen by channel mods and possibly be extended an invite. Overall engagement would go up, without a risk of spam.
