majority of Scotland, maybe if you want to learn it, the taxpayer shouldn't be paying for it? If it was that important to the people that speak it, they should be the ones passing it on & keeping it alive. Instead of the biggest part of the population that thinks it's ridiculous.

It implies that if a language is not widely valued, it may not warrant taxpayer-funded support for its maintenance.
