Here's an idea:
- Set up an onboarding mechanism to warpcast
- Take credit cards, crypto, paypal, whatever
- Charge $25
- Set up WC account, pay for 1 month of supercast and buy $DEGEN with the rest
- put half the $DEGEN into their connected wallet ONCE THEY SET ONE UP.
- Provide onboarding videos, a group chat for general support and regular live chats for members only
- Publish recordings for all to see a week later on all socials
- Have progressive tutorials about everything Farcaster - channels, etiquette, backing up keys, staying safe, "super follow", how to engage without farming

I’ve onboarded a dozen so far. Without exception, every single one needed a lot of help.

is it that hard to understand how to use warpcast now? do you think some users need an onboarding package? curious, as we're here every day and sometimes forget how complicated it might be for someone else

Someone building this can’t impact spam list directly

“How to not be a spammer” would be part of the tutorials.

Make it easier for new casters to stay off the spam list for say 30 days, like a grace period while they learn

I personally don't want to attract people that are attracted to raffles.   My goal isn't to just get users at any cost; the goal is to give quality users an easier way to onboard.

I feel adding a raffle at first like two times that week will attract audience and more people on your page and the group chat and then they will want to listen to what you have fo say 

Help new users find a channel or channels where they will feel at home based on their interests. This helped me find my way when I joined in February. 

Create a bot for new users that can answer their basic questions on demand. 

Create a system of rewards (degen, warps or moxie) for new users as they complete early tasks helping them gain traction.

Farcaster

a thought about building cohorts of community on an ongoing basis here on Farcaster.

Went to college, didn't know anyone before I arrived, made friends, shared experiences, learned a lot, bonded with folks who shared similar experiences at the same point in time.

I've been hearing a lot of sentiment about how one aspect of what folks like about farcaster is the community, the friends, and quite often I might suggest these bonds build across a wide variety of interests.

Here, we often connect with folks across a spectrum of shared interests.

I think there is an opportunity for a community or team to create ongoing bonding experience for incoming/new users here on Farcaster, a bit akin to the campy nature of college orientation > farcaster mode.  thinking about @ted hunger games launched when direct casts were first shipped, the IRL events and meet ups, and now the burgeoning communities forming around /tavern and /farhouse spaces.

assuming you’re talking about non-crypto natives, setting up the wallet is the biggest barrier. i onboarded a friend but needed to do the wallet for her bc it was a bit much. otherwise, i like the flow.

Like the idea. My only fear is that $25 charge. How much degen can be actually bought with the rest. Maybe reducing it to $15 will be good as that covers the creation of WC account and the instructor charge. 

Then upon onboarding, newbies who want to buy degen and lock will then pickup that decision based on what they’ve learned.
