If people take the 10k they already had  before and lock it (required in season
5), do they not get an allocation?

there's an upper limit. eventually staking for 90 days creates an opportunity cost /so high/ it might be /less risky/ to tip ACTUAL degen token.

(ie, why lock away 1m USD in $DEGEN to give away $70 daily, $2100 cumulative? you're either gonna treat that as yield and steal it or not participate at all imo)

Wondering why many people crying if they don't have allowance, they should know that they can't claim their allowance at the end of season right? Unless they have been funnelling their allowance to their bogus or sub accounts all this while for free and now they have to lock their own $$$ to do that.

It seems however, that for people I know of with decent tip allocations, did not receive large amounts of tips.

yes, while I agree this is true, the bigger allowance someone has, the more tips they are likely to receive, but you make a very fair point 50 $degen
