I think that there is always a way for people to be parted from their funds, wherever they choose to throw it away
Feels to me that we put a lot more onus on others vs actually working on better practices for ourselves, our friends, our family etc
People poor huge amounts of money into smoking, alchol, 'trading' (of various styles manners, including normal stocks etc), and while I do think that it's easier in some regards to lose more faster than before, and the barrier to entry is lower than ever, it's probably more of a situation where there's a greater opportunity for education, teaching, training, resources, etc
Ultimately people who are going to go do unintelligent things with their funds will find a way.
Used to be people going and trying to hit home runs trading OTC penny stocks etc...
New face on old issues I'm afraid. And some people get real burned, real bad. 0 reply
