Maserati is an Italian automobile company that produces luxury and sports cars, which was launched on December 1, 1914 by the Maserati brothers in Bologna.The Maserati company is owned by Stellantis and now has its headquarters and main production plant in Modena. It is located in the region of Emilia-Romagna, Italy.

Maserati achieved many successes against the big German car manufacturers such as Mercedes-Benz and Auto Union during the years 1939 and 1940.  Maserati CTF8 model won the first title in the rally.
