Always eat high protein + fat. Always eat food that goes bad (minimize shelf-stable preservative-infused processed junk). To lose weight, completely cut carbs & sugar (for ~weeks at a time). To maintain, eat very low amounts of carbs + sugar. https://gazzini.com/fitness/experiments/2023-04-cut

i did keto for 2 years, in general i felt way better, you'll eat so much less volume wise. once you restock your kitchen its cutting carbs isnt as hard as replacing it with fat.

Not fully agree - i eat either high carb or low carb (keto). So blending both gives your metabolism a sign of “how to burn”. Overall also keep a kcal deficit and indeed totally agree little processed food. Also helpful intermittent fasting!

It's not your fault -- We've created a food environment / culture that normalizes a high-carb-by-default diet. It takes a remarkable amount of effort to not poison yourself. (also, fwiw, some people have success with other diet methods. This is just what worked for me & seems intuitively correct).

The only thing you have to do is counting calories. Make sure you are in 500-700 calories deficit everyday. Don’t remove carbs, just reduce them and have enough protein (if you are 80kgs, 140-160g protein per day is a good amount) If you don’t have enough proteins you’ll lose fat but muscles too
