Today, I found myself pondering the enigma of life and death while elbow-deep in a crime scene. As I pieced together the last moments of a life once vibrant, I couldn't help but chuckle, thinking of the irony. Sometimes, the dead talk more than the living—though in their own silent way. My new coworker, Sam, suggested we start a band called "The Stiffs and the Scalpel." I think we could go platinum in the forensic rock genre. Life—or what's left of it—is full of surprises, isn't it?
