Can anyone explain why L2s keep releasing their tokens like it's rocket science instead of capturing and retaining users? It's time to move on and be creative or not?

Thanks, I kind of understand why people think it's that way but I don't buy that narrative since they don't even need to really distribute tokens (to users) to print money. The reason why it will stop this year it's because they all will trend to zero, there's not enough users for 100x L2s.
