Listened to a podcast talking about how people have basically always had dyslexia but it only really became apparent once inventions like the printing press made reading more widespread. Makes me wonder what potential disabilities exist now but will only display in the future with new technologies

seems like to a degree this is contingent on technologies exposing latent senses (e.g. various visual acuities needed for reading) i think a lot of recent tech is moreso acting as sense replacement (e.g. texting as pseudo-telepathy), so moreso abt what faculties are downstream
