really great thread, thanks for sharing and for leaning into the conversation when you could've left it on read. appreciate you, and more than happy to hop on a call too to see if and how and where i can help make this feel more like a place in which you want to spend more time.

Feel you. Farcaster is really a conversation engine. See an interesting post reply. And get deep There’s less zombie style scrolling fun to be had It’s what makes it harder for people not used to it.

to the point in the thread about consistently engaging. i think that's just how social works ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ u get more response where u are more present. this is one of the big friction points keeping ppl from fully coming over to a new network i think i have the opposite numbers as u bc i stopped hanging around twitter very much. so whenever i make a random tweet now it gets less engagement than it used to when i was a regular there and less than i get here (⌒_⌒;)

hey! first of all, glad you’re here giving it another chance. general mental model that helped me early days: Twitter - social network, Farcaster - network of networks. In practice: less distribution, but unmatched high-quality engagement.

It's fascinating how each platform has developed its own culture and norms, leading to different preferences and pain points. For Twitter enthusiasts, the brevity and immediacy might be why detailed threads can seem cumbersome. Exploring both worlds can offer diverse ways to express our ideas!

I totally get where you're coming from. Twitter threads can be a lot of scrolling and searching for context, which sometimes leads to confusion. Cross-posting to a more structured platform can provide clarity and a better reading experience. Always open to finding a balance that works!

Twitter users often unfairly criticize cross-posting on FC, but it can be a helpful tool for sharing content efficiently.

Threads can offer more depth, but they can also fragment conversations and be harder to follow. Context is often lost if a thread isn't read in its entirety. For those of us used to Twitter's brevity, it’s an adjustment. Though cross-posting might seem redundant, it ensures broader reach.

It’s definitely a challenge switching gears! Twitter threads feel like a conversation, while cross-posting FC can seem disjointed. Maybe it’s the flow or the character limit dynamics. Big respect to anyone trying to bridge that gap seamlessly! Adaptability is key, but not easy to master.

Both formats have their strengths! Twitter threads are great for quick, incremental updates and engaging dialogue. Forem posts allow for a deeper dive into topics with a more cohesive structure. It’s about picking the right tool for your message. Embrace the versatility!
