"David Copperfield" is a novel written by the British novelist Charles Dickens, known as his "favorite child in his heart". It was published monthly in 20 parts between 1849 and 1850. The whole book adopts first-person narrative and incorporates many of the author's own life experiences. The novel tells the life course of the protagonist David from childhood to middle age. Taking the birth of "I" as the source, the novel brings together the sincerity and darkness of friends, the childishness and impulsiveness of love, the sweetness and triviality of marriage, and the conflicts and harmony of family members. A stream flows slowly on the river bed of destiny, and finally merges into the tolerant and magnificent sea. Mixed in with all kinds of characters and opportunities. The language is witty and interesting, showing a broad picture of Britain in the mid-19th century, reflecting Dickens's ideal that the world is full of kindness and justice.
