My lord, this industry is the only place in which you hear North Korea, Myanmar, Laos and the United States of America mentioned in the same sentence.

This is probably true. And this experience over time unfolds in pulsating waves. Yin and Yang. The fourth turning. Time is a circle. The human mind is an animal that has to clash against reality over and over again, for it cannot help itself otherwise. https://twitter.com/SpencerJCox/status/1786019695348666781

For the finance lovers, here is compound interest for you. Below is shown the result of saving $300 every month for 30 years, considering a 10% and 15% annual rate. No initial investment. What I find surprising over and over again, is that 5% difference in rate causes a 3x difference in outcome over the entire period.

Heard people saying token issuance is not an expense for the network. That made me write a little bit about the topic to show to myself why issuance is in fact rather an expense than anything else. I will also briefly discuss parallels to nation state monetary policy in the next Powerlaw memo. What do you think?

State of the (EU) Nation. We are being told those member states are democracies, but their uncountable committees make its citizens effectively being run like a communist regime in which people still think just more money will solve any problem. Spoiler, it wont. https://twitter.com/daveg/status/1784835703743881256

Last night the Powerlaw memo dropped again to discuss some interesting aspects of last week. I wanted to share a thought about Ethereum's issuance debate and make the case for why the current fears are unrealistic and how the underlying issue should rather be approached. Curious to hear what people think about it.

You want to let the kind of information in that helps you prevent certain death. This kind of information, by definition, tells you how wrong you are. Learning how wrong you are is such a beautiful thing because it means that you do not have to be wrong anymore. And who would not want that?

Latest Powerlaw memo shows again how machine learning and blockchain networks are aligned, and literally need one another. The World Chain L2 is yet another argument for that theory. I would love to hear from anyone who thinks that it is totally not like I theorize in my blog.

On days like these I love the internet. UFC fighter talking about Austrian economics, sending Google trends for Ludwig von Mises higher. Looks like we got a little reading to do. 😂 https://twitter.com/the_posts/status/1779301277668925527

For anyone not wanting the CSS border around their cover images on their blog's home page, I just found out you can remove it with this custom CSS. I like it better clean like that. Hope it helps somebody.

@colin creating new posts has a changed image cropping behaviour. The cover image I upload is not recognized properly. I uploaded the image below for my new post but in https://powerlaw.systems/preview/LvsTZBM2eAv4uwYJPiLW it is not reflected as such as we can also see in the preview frame.

I came here to tell you this. We are all aspiring to become a higher version of ourselves. That higher spirit is what connects beyond any flag or nation state border. All there is, is that arrow, and it's pointing upwards. ↑

The other day I was just minding my own business making almond butter. You know, things normal people do at 03:00 AM in the morning. When I overheard people talking about CEX markets. And I was like, you fockin what mate?

@lght.eth it just hit me that the Higher Community is commanding many impressions and clicks on a daily basis. We are all creating content. What if we could do content marketing with strategic product placements in our content? Like @marcgmbh did higher.art we could attribute yield to casters that generate views.

Higher Tattoo. Kinda like the bold white frame with only 10% opacity. @marcgmbh maybe we could make higher.art maintain a curated set of community overlays that are ready to use for more branding use cases. Eventually we could filter for assets by overlay and link to zora and instagram etc.
