Saying rituals don’t matter, is like saying the taste of food doesn’t matter because it all ends up in your stomach anyway - you are not wrong, but well, you’re missing the message Let me more specific by what I mean when I say ritual:

Tbh I don't like the regular rituals. I see it as mainly to "show off" something ! We have different kinds of rituals in Egypt or done in a different way like weddings for example. We sacrifice (cow, sheep, buffalo) and the meat is distributed to the poor as a kind of celebration. And more stuff like this.

That makes sense -- I think what I'm most interested in is, is this idea of turning ideas and words into reality - during rituals that take place, with less focus on the showmanship of rituals per se It's more like a ribbon cutting ceremony - of course for most people it is a show, but the cutting, the action - this clearly marks the beginning of the establishment or thing they are opening. There's something special about demarcation of an abstract idea, into a physical action that we collectively take and live through
