I misremembered. 

The Tubbs Fire was to the north, and at the same time the Adobe Fire was to the east and south. 

October 2017 was not fun for us. 😅

There's quite a bit of distance between this site and the ongoing Point Fire.

Seven years ago the Tubbs Fire burned all around to the north, east, and south of this location, so it does happen.
