embedded wallets inside frames feel like an anti pattern at warpcast and super we spend a lot of time to make the wallet connections good (warpcast through mvp, us through super wallet) feels backwards to add another layer of complexity and doesn’t actually result in a better UX

Challenge is if your app requires many transactions (and potentially some behind the scenes), clunky to have the wallet UX interrupt the game play.

is super mobile gonna be using mwp? if it is, come back to me after a day of navigating ppls confusion when you can't use the same wallets on both mobile and web I was long not using embedded wallets - cool opportunity for other clankermon interfaces if we didn't ecosystem wallet will be cool tho excited for that

this Clankermon coded? cause I’m pretty used to spinning up new wallets for various projects, and to a degree appreciate the separation from my main wallet if I’m exploring new apps. Yet curious to hear more

better UX for current crypto users (with existing wallets) or non-crypto users who have no experience with existing standalone wallets?

We debated this a TON, it’s just too bad of an experience to hand off to a separate app on mobile. Need an universal FC wallet for sure.

Going out of the app kills the flow every time for me (> don’t do many transactions); embedded smart session def 10x better.

🤔 anti-pattern. For those developing "mini-apps", not frames v1, the perspective is broader than Farcaster & the desire to find customers/users is insatiable. Is it a better ux for the non FC user, if a dev onboards them by meeting them where they are on their crypto journey or says hey get an FC account first? Maybe closer to your point though, people are generally comfortable with having separate accounts per app. As developers, this model has proven to be a reliable UX: "Sign up here, or if you already have one of 'these' accounts, go ahead and authenticate with it." People aren’t accustomed to (and might not be ready for) combining authentication, payments, ownership, authorization, and, if we squint, identification—all in one place with little privacy. It could take another 5-10 years for this to evolve & become a norm. The sooner we adjust the "it's a crypto social network" positioning the more green FC grass there will be for all app devs to touch.

agree — it seems weird to me to have a wallet not operating at the 'root' level of a client

The real composability paradox: each abstraction layer we add to 'simplify' actually fragments the user journey. Sometimes the best UX is just letting wallets be wallets. 🎯🔧

Consumer users burn out on wallet tx popups and for some (web2.5<) its a trust issue, app wallets leads to fractured assets but still gives the user a better ux. Real anti-pattern is requiring a native token to transact.

adding layers with embedded wallets feels like it disrupts the clean experience we aim for. isn’t simplicity the real path forward?
