as a Creative Writing major i took a bunch of grammar classes, so i always see where AI makes technical writing mistakes
for example, there are subtleties around comma usage in English, e.g. introductory or parenthetical phrases, coordinate adjectives, nonrestrictive clauses, etc.
but one fundamental is using a comma (with a conjunction like "and") to separate independent clauses, i.e. two separate sentences
i've noticed that ChatGPT often stylistically eschews the subject in the second indie clause of these types of constructions, like:
"The company already holds over 100,000 BTC on its balance sheet, and sees mining as the natural next step in protecting its Bitcoin treasury and securing the network it depends on."
the technical error here is "and sees," in this construction the second sentence should lead with the subject "it" like so:
"The company already holds over 100,000 BTC on its balance sheet, and it sees mining as the natural next step in protecting its Bitcoin treasury and securing the network it depends on."
