nouns needs a revolution of common sense. meme proliferation is a half baked idea that justifies a slow drainage of the treasury under the false promise that attention leads to net inflows overtime. WRONG, the world cares about RESULTS. grants should go to individuals with a history of executing and a focus on those that can add energy back into the system equal to energy taken out. shun efforts that seek to redistribute power or grants without equal investment in (this is a sneaky way to steal). art for the sake of art and not propaganda should be reprioritized. if a prop cannot attract economic activity to nouns or eth… DENIED.

I like how you’re describing the problem with DAOs in general here. Good take. Agree.

Slight nuance here is that meme proliferation is a great idea just not the way we’ve been doing it. Too many good proposers and not enough great ones. We should fund the best artists and executives in the world to make great things, but until the DAO comes to terms with the true amount of investment this takes we will be stuck. imho I would rather have invested 5M in one great artists than 50k in 100. When we had 50M we could have invested 5M into a music project and had the biggest project of the year that would have been all over Spotify Billboards, Grammy Stage, magazines, and touring the country promoting ⌐◨-◨ everywhere. You’re not going to get that dipping 100 toes in the water and no one that can make that happen is going to propose knowing they will get publicly shamed and dismissed.

NFTs + auction are the biggest issue in my opinion: it’s not an effective value capture mechanism for attention. It prices out most of the demand curve, and needs to clear in realtime. Anyone should be able to buy in for 1c or $1M at anytime.

The idea that a prop has to have some sort of ROI financially is not that Nounish. 🤷‍♂️

Grants should prioritize proven builders who create real value, not just attention. Meme-based spending drains resources without guaranteeing returns. The focus should be on results, sustainability, and economic impact rather than power redistribution or empty hype.

Agree, that said, that's what those contracts allow and were designed to do. Eventually the treasury will be spent and then it will be on a week to week paycheque like the rest of us.
