What is Winterbloed? Winterbloed is the entity that holds all my art sales.

It isn't easy to create space and opportunity for new young artists but it's exactly what Brecht set out to do.

Thanks to this partnership an amazing location was unlocked, the old industrial site De Bond, just outside the center of Bruges.

Inside Brecht with friends designed and built an intimate staging area, Exeunt Omnes

Between February and now this installation saw the dress rehearsal for future dance and feature film, working title At Rise of Curtain, evenings of young artists' performances, sunday DJ sessions, and the exhibition We Are, Art Is, incl. reverse-nepotism with 2 wblut pieces 😀.

With the art festival coming to an end, I can only look back in wonder what 
Brecht Vanhoutte has realized here. A huge undertaking, taking most of a year of my 23y old "boy".

A huge undertaking, yet only a fragment of what lived as possibilities inside his head.

The infinite potential of the location so generously provided had to be tempered with the financial reality of funding in the cultural sector.

And that is where Winterbloed comes in.

Your support, collecting small pieces or occasionally larger pieces, make this possible. Without it De Bond would have remained empty, one less place for young voices to be heard.

The upcoming Iso - Ambifeuille release is no different.

The installation, Exeunt Omnes, needs a new home. The feature film an ongoing project looking for ways to realize it.

This is why I sell the art compulsion drives me to make.

You wearing my work on your arm is still the most mind-blowing thing and I have no doubt you will continue to amaze me (and drive me nuts as the good son's duty it is 😀.)
