Right. Like they don’t care if their computer’s kernel is secure. They don’t care until something goes wrong. It’s our job to care for them.

Yeah, it’s always tough to know where to draw the line. 

Was trying to make the point, “users don’t talk about this” does not mean it’s not important or worth caring about.

But…if you optimize for the most secure kernel and no one uses it, who cares?

Base pragmatic approach to decentralizing the chain, i.e. important but not a blocker to progress, is a good example of this?

I drive a car but know zero about car maintenance or how they work at a detailed level. TBH I don’t care.

I’ll buy a car, get it maintained when it needs to be, then drive till it’s dead.

BUT if I buy a new car and all the wheel nuts haven’t been screwed on tightly, you’re damn right I’m going to care…
