Thanks @toadyhawk.eth! Heads up it’s a long story, but I’m happy to share it for anyone that’s interested. shoutout to @skateboard for turning me onto nouns a while ago. Sky and it became my favorite NFT project because I love DAOs and I love the idea of funding ideas and it was really.. 1/

the first NFT project that made sense to me. I almost won a sweet dino noun last year at ETHDenver in a scavenger hunt from @ricburton, but the competition was canceled due to lack of participation 😭i had assembled a team w/ a multisig and I'm pretty sure we were the only team that had found every clue. 2/

Anyway, I had joined @atxdao about a month before when I moved back to Austin from Denver, and at my first member meeting when the topic of onboarding the next cohort of ATX DAO members came up, I raised my hand and pitched the idea of forking nouns 🙋‍ ATX DAO already has a lot of similarities to Nouns... 3/

as an NFT-gated community where proceeds from membership sales go into the treasury, and ATX DAO funds awesome ideas. There were already some members like @512mace, @artichokelord, @spatializes, @kenn, @realitycrafter.eth, @sampadilla, @jacobhomanics.eth (and more!) on the same wavelength that loved the idea, but... 4/

One of the next steps in our plan is to request 51.2 ETH from @nouns-dao to help fund ATX Nouns to make Austin Nounish. If this goes well, the plan is to help cities around the world, many of which are already looking to ATX DAO for guidance, to deploy their own nounish forks, spreading nouns tech and memes.. 8/
