I'm trying to get more educated on US politics and would love your help... What do you think the Biden administration has done a good job on over the last few years?

I can’t think of anything significant that really improved the life’s of Americans. There were good parts in the Inflation Act and the infrastructure bill. But nothing that really jumped out to me. Everything else he did has expired.

- Ukraine - brought together democratic countries to support Ukraine for 2 years (this is faltering now due to GOP) - Covid rescue plan (both health and economic issues) - Child Tax Credit (which cut child poverty in half, then expired, but as of last night is likely coming back)

From my knowledge, Child Tax Credit is most likely going to fail.

What would someone opposed to it argue? Expensive?

I think the gop is trying to tie it to other budgetary concessions, know it will be popular but want to get something in it for their other base as well.

One issue is if it's fully refundable - then it dilutes the workforce. Also, that it doesn't go directly to the child. Parents use it for drugs, etc. also the expense. Not sure why it's going to die but internal meetings that I'm in right now don't seem very positive.
