If you could stake tokens for a Power Badge and be slashed if you spam, how much would you stake? (I have no knowledge of the roadmap, just a fun thought experiment!)

This is interesting! My first thought was it needs to be a large enough amount that potential spammers wouldn't want to pay and large enough to disincentivize spam from those that stake for fear of slashing. But my second thought was then this becomes unfair for those who may not be able to easily afford this large amount. Perhaps there could be another way to earn the token that you eventually stake such as positive social contributions over time earn you daily rewards that could build up and then you eventually stake and can vote. Would need to be confident in the metrics used for daily allocations. If the system is easily gamed then you could get a farming ring taking over the staking and voting.

This would be pretty cool, and I'd say to stake at least 1000 DEGEN per time you "spam" (whatever that means). But, allowing a public appeal right here on Farcaster. Some sort of criteria where at least 3 other power users have to agree that the cast/s in question are indeed not spam.

How can we distinguish spam? We just know something is spam when we see it. But reaching consensus to decide if something is spam might be hard, plus unfair in few cases.

Power Badge is supposed to be earned as power user. There is no point in earning as staker imo. There should be new badge for staker like staker badge, holders badge, Loylaty badge or so on.

The way I see things, I don't like to think that at the end of the day everything can be accessed with money, I know that we live in a world where that is the case, but where would the quality of your content be? Worse still, no one would have to make an effort to achieve anything within the platform, at the end of the day everything would go to waste, and giving more supervisory power to the others powerbadge seems to me like appointing an inquisitorial council, I could most certainly be wrong but I'm already tired of seeing how the effort fades away every day giving way to everything with money.
