Yo, dude just spreading fud. The news basically says Facebook and Verizon struck an advertising deal, since tg is huge in Russia as a social network where everyone hangs and consumes info through tg channels

not a deal, tg denies this deal specifically because it is breaking privacy — and it's not a fud, tg is no longer a private messenger by any means

It is your assumption on why they deny the deal? Cause if I were to speculate on reasoning I would bet that it is toxic to do business in Russia today, that’s it. Secondly it’s a social network where people get their information just like meta or x, and such targeting advertising deals are common across the world

you seem to underestimate the importance of connecting a tg account to a phone number if tg did not claim they were private (or at least had e2ee) this would be fine but not having e2ee + claiming some sort of privacy makes them, well, outright liars and an evil company
