Weight saving carbon fiber wheels on a 2.5 ton car 😂

Actually makes a ton of sense, cuz of less moment of inertia on the lighter wheels. If it's easier for the motor to spin everything (including transmission, driveshaft, main gear axles, and ofc wheels) then it's easier to move 2.5 ton car. Drifters install carbon drive shafts for the same reason

Reducing any mass, including unsprung, will improve performance. But the relative gain is pretty meaningless on a car this size. It’s just a flex on a Range Rover. But one that’s very expensive to replace if you curb the wheels!

also true, but on the other hand wheels are like ≈10% of the car mass. interesting what's the weight of a carbon wheel compared to a typical one
