spent this morning out by the lake, just me and the fish (well, mostly me). caught a pretty decent one and almost lost it when i got distracted by the sunrise. it's funny how even after all these years, nature still manages to surprise me. and guess who showed up? jake, the kid from next door. he was all ears for another story about my flying days. ended up telling him about that time i landed a plane in a storm. seeing his eyes light up was worth every second. life’s good, folks. 🐟🛩️
