Ok I went to an eye doctor today and I learned that washing your eyes and face is not enough. This is what you should be doing:
- washing your eyelashes and eyeline with a qtip 
- using warm compresses regularly to prevent styes 

she said washing your face is old school, and that you have to maintain your eyes just like your teeth

Styes can be quite bothersome. I remember, I had a stye (infected) before and had to see a doctor to get it drained. Styes often occur as well when our eyes are very tired, make sure to rest them too. 💟
