spent a lot of time today visiting different irl shops and businesses. 3 cafes and a store. and in all of the interactions that i had to pay, i was thinking to myself:

what needs to happen so that i can ask this person if i can pay with my dickbutt tokens on base? or “my crypto” (as a vehicle of transaction. @daimo pay’s approach is a game changer). but basically the store always receives “the same crypto”, which they need to be able to fully convert to fiat money instantly with fees that are cheaper than the 3% their current debit/credit card machine providers ask them for

whoever creates this interface and makes it better than what we have today will change the world and our industry imho

how far are we from that?

Tech no a problem, it's already out there being offered by many provides; the real problem is the bias of the local merchant towards shiny new tech that isn't being pushed by their local banks.

Remember that most card processors are ultimately owned by banks
