futuristic prediction: apple will ditch vision pro within 2y because it doesn't sell or is a subpar product compared to competition (we've seen apple scrapping products before, this is one of the cases)

interesting. i don't think they'll have either of those problems, Apple is notorious for introducing extremely cringe behavioral patterns into the world that become status symbols, and if anything needs that, it's headsets. what products have they ditched before?

I think it’ll go the opposite way. Spatial computing seems more likely than ever…iPhones felt less cringey because people had phones before iPhone. Cant say I’d be the first wearing it on a flight or in public but as a work station, I think there is an app economy to be built around headsets.
