Adding a fractional like currency can be useful.(allows people who can’t afford a full unit the ability to opt in) But memecoins only utility are that by being a derivative of an original(in the sense that you use the original to claim the memecoin) they essentially act as a burning of that coin

Id imagine depositing then would remove their voting power.(since the initially deposited ones dont have voting anymore) Depends on what they could do with $noun, I suppose. $noun needs an initial use case proposed along with it to really have some kind of value proposition.

I feel like pitching a use case that would require or be solved with this kind of functionality would be the best way to advocate for it

I’m personally on the side that gas fees are an implementation side effect and we should therefore try and reduce that friction as much as possible but migrating some or all DAO activity to other chains is a pretty big undertaking for sure.

Yeah, it’s a fine line between it’s cheap and therefore I’m going to voice my opinion on everything and it’s too expensive to voice my opinion on anything.

More than this the chain that makes the dev experience the easiest is the one that’ll see the most growth imo. Easier dev experience = more shit gets built, faster, and by more people. The things you mentioned are great for short term growth but can’t scale with large number of builders.

If the expense of voting is a concern. Why make voting be on blockchain at all vs just publishing the voting results to the blockchain after polling them in a web2 solution(no cost to voters)?

Honestly not really. Monilthic apps don’t really make much sense to me from a user standpoint. Is your OS not already an “everything app”?
