We’re in the age of “Post Tokens”, as distinct from how we’ve typically looked at “Art” I wrote this article a few months ago on the valuation of digital assets, seems it’s perhaps even more relevant now https://paragraph.xyz/@wanderloots.eth/post-tokens?referrer=0x316822580ee3725209fd96b1208ef53b73825e56

I think where I’m taking issue is — why remove all the features your customers liked? Especially collections? It makes zero sense. They had core customers who were willing to pay 7x what it is now and instead they took away all the good stuff and lost all those customers. I really don’t think whatever it is they are chasing to replace it will replace that revenue. If they wanted to experiment then just leave “Zora classic” and create the new app as a separate thing. The past 6months or so have been one poor decision after another.

Yep, agreed. I think the mentality is to dial into a singular service (an Instagram clone), rather than marketing a mixed bag of services. Totally fine, but I agree, why remove the existing features? I also felt this way when paragraph removed token gating… I switched over from substack for that feature (along with a few others), which was a decent hassle, only to have the feature deprecated.

Oh wow — didn’t realize they removed that option (I wasn’t gating anything there). Yeah don’t take things away unless there’s a really good reason. So weird to see some of these approaches.
