Just read it! I like the heliocentric comparison, leading to a breakthrough in our understanding of physics which lead to exponential growth in life he understanding of the laws of nature. I guess in a practical sense, how do you see consensuscentric systems evolving in a practical manner for the loss of value in social situations? Much of what is derived as value from social interactions is the give and take of varied opinions that lead to the generation of consensus. Almost a proof of social work in a sense 🤔

So let's say we have a social coordination layer for a network, which allows members in that network to come to agreement on the value of a certain contribution (to make it more concrete, let's say they agree that finding a cure to a certain disease is worth issuing 1% additional currency). So now you can have a completely diff paradigm to achieving this goal. People can collaborate in the open and build on each other's research until they find the cure. Then each individual would get compensated based on their contribution. There is no need to patent the cure since you now have a business model that compensates people for creating public good. This also means that other people can build on top of this research, make additional discoveries, and get compensated based on how much the network values the additional discoveries - so the work is additive. What applies to medical research also applies to open source code, investigative journalism, and producing other common goods
