when we first started working on @atlas, there wasn't really a big enough problem to solve there was a lot of great content on farcaster that was easy to discover and ai summaries were merely a novelty, not essential now, ai summaries are necessary to surface even ten daily needles in the spam haystack

appreciate what you're doing to help with spam! what are your thoughts on being able to attribute the sources along the way? Just something I've been thinking about with google's one-boxing continuing to evolve and kill off more websites (thanks @cdixon.eth for the term of art)

thanks, it hasn't been easy we're experimenting with different attribution mechanisms, though i've found tagging replies lowers the quality of the summary attribution is recorded on the protocol and displayed in clients, so i dont know if we need to solve for it, but we'll keep experimenting

yeah completely fair! was just curious, especially with Google's "answer boxes" coming out. Going to be an interesting year to see how creators can continue to survive with independent websites and no search traffic as a thought, if, e.g., degen is tipped to the bot answer, could partially distribute to sources

yeah, distribution is key, and programmatic dcs on warpcast open up a lot of avenues, but the challenge is still going from a lot to a little for a wide audience of users looking for niche content
