re, censorship: these filters/ bans are at the warpcast level, not the protocol level. the internet you're probably accustomed to, certainly the content that surfaces in /degen, is heavily and needfully moderated. else, it's unusuable, uninteresting dross that doesn't fit the channel. robots and ai accounts.

populations that don't like moderation policies can simply use other clients. we have no power to censor the protocol. use @supercast, etc.

"hide quietly and warn" is our effort to train channel norms; mostly the stuff we all already agree is obnoxious, but that user gets a chance to shape up

agree. my hunch is that these kinds of moderation experiments will produce new social graph primitives that get used for reputation lists and credit services

so sad for those early, opportunistic spammer types that arrived at the new world and immediately got black listed for fuckery 🎻

while I get annoyed very quickly at some of the kinds of posts that i can see in most social media platforms,  I will be very intrigued on the kind of dialogue that this is going to produce.  (typically of the "i have my own rights and free speech is one of them flavor).
