I’m anti-institutions. I think they are incompetent. Washington DC is at the top of the stack. 

Plenty of coverage of Trump.

I find mainstream liberals an easy target because they rationalize their political beliefs to an absurd level.

Whereas average conservative is honest: I’m voting for the non-liberal candidate. I don’t care about the rationale or logic.

If average liberal: I’m voting because it’s my team and I don’t care about anything else, I would have more respect. Pure tribal affiliation. Politics is to help those you like and hurt those you don’t. Very Lindy.

I will never vote on the same side as the people waving flags with swastikas and one side has ALL of the groups who wave them.

Weird take. Trump isn't exactly anti-institution, he's just anti-institutions-not-entirely-loyal-to-him. Kind of the worst of all worlds really.

Conservatives don’t dare speak out against   Trump. 
Meanwhile liberals are like herding cats

my policy preferences lean towards progressive, although I've voted across both mainstream parties and independents (but often more Dem than Rep because of progressive values)

my view: the two-party death grip on US politics is the single greatest threat to national security, as both parties seek divisive issues to split the electorate (interesting read: "The Polarizers – Postwar Architects of Our Partisan Era" by Sam Rosenfeld)

what are your thoughts about the recent chorus of people who view Trump as presenting a clear and present danger to the nation because they have sworn oaths to the Constitution and refuse to swear allegiance to a man who wishes to be a monarch/dictator (I'm biased; choose your preferred term, both are being used among protractors/detractors)

or am I rationalizing my political beliefs to an absurd level?

not really surprising that someone who badly needs crypto to win would vote their bags. Surprising that they'd come out and say it.

You know, back in 2016, from this side of the pond and until the very last minute, absolutely nobody thought he would win. 

Cause it was not even about politics or ideas or plans or liberal or not. 

It was him. 
I mean him. 
Who has a history and very public records on many many subjects.

The attitude doesn't surprise me. 

And in a way, he's right - if liberals and leftists were more strategic and always voted for the party instead of being perfectionists about candidates, they'd win far, far, far more often than they do.

All I know is if I could vote I wouldn't vote for her!
