Very possible that by the end of the day today you need to stake 1,000,000 $degen to be eligible for a 10k allowance

for simplicity's sake, set degen to 1 usd.

how much [money] would you lock away for 90 days to be able to freely invest (or steal) 900000/ USD during that period?

1 million?
2 million?
10 million?
100 million?

fwiw I think the upper limit is around 10:1, ie I would be willing to lock 10m USD maximum for 90 days to freely invest 900k over a 90 day period (ceteris paribus).

Degen staking-for-allowance can’t quite be though of like staking for yield 

Network-yield is how I’ve been thinking about it. 

stake degen if you’re bullish DEGEN (you probably hold some already, no?)

OR 

stake degen if you’re bullish on your own capacity to distribute a tip allocation in a manner that will have positive effects for Farcaster, and by proxy, DEGEN
