If you bought (or plan on buying) a dGEN1 from Freedom Factory, and you’re in their Discord … 

BE CAREFUL !!!!

An account attempting to impersonate their customer service reached out to me AFTER seeing that I had messaged their customer support team in the #support channel.

I reached out to them for a minor issue (not related to updating RPC - whatever that is)

Thankfully, I’ve been in this space long enough that my spidey senses started to tingle.

As soon as they sent the link and wanted me to walk through the process with them, I took a screenshot of the conversation and reached out to an official member of the team and asked them to open up a support ticket (that way I knew it was someone from the project).

Then, inside the ticket I shared the same screenshot posted below.

Two different team members were immediately responsive. 

They were thankful for the heads-up, immediately banned the user from the server and reported it out.

It's unbelievable how obnoxious these scammers are. No effing decency. Personally, I avoid using discord because of things like this.

Discord can be scam central, that said all mods and team must have 2FA. 
I’ve seen some epic server takeover’s bc of some dumbass mod.
Orbiter had theirs grabbed for 16hrs by the Pink Drainer

All discord channels should carry same caveat.  I've joined hundred+ discords in my life, and not one is exempt from "the admin on the other side may just as well be Satan"
