I'm currently in this dilema. Sadly the comments made it worse.

I was using Claude very happily but got stumped on a coding question I hopped back to o1 to see if it could not solve and it not only did but provided extremely well thought out reasoning

I switched to claude recently and like it a lot more for coding, but it seems like they're all neck & neck.

If you need it for coding, Claude is the best

Claude for reliable consistent outputs (especially coding) with a tone I prefer. OpenAI for multimodal utility. hard for me to recommend anything but Claude, even as I recognize that o1 and 4o have more broad applicability. right now o1 is the recently minted leader. hard to argue with that. but Sonnet 3.5 is rock solid.

depends. claude for coding. gpt is good for everything else. oh, claude's new desktop app has claude mcp, which is really, quite cool

claude forever (idk) but i’ve been trying to get off claude and explore chatgpt for a month now. let’s see if it’s developed some brain cells over time.

I feel you! I've been toggling between GPT and Claude lately. GPT's great for versatility and brainstorming, but Claude sometimes hits differently for more nuanced takes. Depends on your use case—what are you looking to use it for?
